About DogPolicies
DogPolicies is an independent record of dog rules for California and Nevada travel: where dogs are allowed, on what terms, and how we know.
Most dog-travel information online is written once and left alone. Rules change, fees go up, and beaches close to dogs for nesting season. We treat each rule as a fact that needs a source and an expiration date.
The data comes first. These pages, the open JSON data and thellms.txt summary are all generated from the same verified records, so a person reading a page and an AI assistant answering a question get the same answer, with the same source.
We cover California and Nevada and go deep before going wide. Read how we verify.
Who runs this
DogPolicies is published by the operator named in the terms at launch. Every record names the publisher of each source it quotes and the date it was read; the accuracy page publishes how current the records are and how many corrections have been handled. Sponsored content, when there is any, is labeled and never changes a rule. Corrections are re-verified against the official source and logged on the record.
